One of the very nice buildings at the Cincy Zoo. A giraffe, just hanging out. >An orangutan doing something.   Maybe waiting for the bus. Elsa, no...wait it's a polar bear... I think.
That building again, behind a waterfall. Master of all he surveys. A baby elephant, practicing interpretive dance. Orangutan hangovers are killer.
Another building.   I think it's the elephant house. Her shell looks a bit too big.... Al...most... got... it... For what I'm about to receive...
A white lion taking some sun. A tiger, planning mayhem. That darned elephant again. Someone's planning something...
A baby elephant. Too much bleach in the wash. Ahhhhh. Did you see that?
I imagne that's much nicer than the 'multi-level climby-thing made with shag carpet'. We can't all do the big arms thing... A big cat doing what big cats do - and what little cats do, as well. Art viewed from a different angle.
A smaller, big kitty. eeeh goh uhw meh 'ung! Yeah, I've been that bored before. - oh, wait... I've used that one. James Robert sitting on a large rock, as a young girl runs by.   Sounds like the beginning of a story.

That's one of those looks you really don't want to get. James Robert, and some experimenting with depth of field settings.

Yeah, I've been that bored before. Elsa, erm- no, not Elsa

Sean, from not nearly as far away as it would appear. Sleep, raised to an art.
Here kitty, kitty. A different silhouette, but the same siamangs Oook. ZZZzzzzzzZzzzzz!
Whoa. That's close. High runnin' A happy baby elephant There's that look again.
Nice stare. A baby siamang, playing. People watching The Librarian, spying on whatever there is to spy on.
They must take after the father... Our native guide. Well, he's got the height, but he'll have to work on the reach. Sing it!
A silhouette watching the baby siamangs. Sean and Horace Worblehat (The Librarian) Some kid, with his own personal Western Lowland Gorilla. "Yeah, I'm lazy... but I look regal."
About the Zoos

These pictures are from The Cincinnatti Zoo (first group), The Indianapolis Zoo (middle group) and The Louisville Zoo (last group)

The Cincinnatti Zoo is a great, friendly zoo.   It's set up nicely, with really nice landscaping and architecture.   The habitats are pretty large and set up very well.

The Indianapolis Zoo...   Just don't bother.   Lots of young people around to tell you:

"You can't stand there."

then when you sit down:

"Oh, you can't sit here either."

and:

"Oh, you have 50 preschoolers on their way to watch the dolphin show?   Sorry, this door closes in 10 seconds.   The next show is in three hours."

The Louisville Zoo is a very nice zoo, on it's way to become a great zoo.   It also has the advantage of being in-town.
