JOBS
(greeting)Have you ever seen those jumble of words on a website that show the most popular searches?

The more popular words are larger and bolder while, the less used words are smaller, and usually toward the edge. Anyway, I was wondering about them, when it struck me that that might be an interesting look for a resume.

If nothing else, it was something to do.

I played around and ended up with this.
CARDINAL ALUMINUM CO.1996 - Present

Engineering Technician
'CAD Wrangler'
I'm the 'go-to-guy' for everything CAD or drafting related.   I manage the CAD programs and all the add-ons, customizations and upgrades that make them more usable, consistant and efficient tools.

I draw estimate, die approval and fabrication drawings, the occasional plant print, and anything out of the ordinary.

I am also the designated event photographer, name plate maker, Romidot geometric tolerancing program maker, HTML catalog/web designer, and first resort for help with many software/hardware issues.

Drafting Technician 1
I operated, maintained and ordered supplies for the Drafting Department's copy shop, printed and assembled publications, manuals, slide-shows and maps for sale and for public hearings.

Participated in site reviews, made maps for the PC and Board of Zoning Adjustment using the ARC/Info GIS system, created signs and displays for County Government, and figured out how to make those big fancy presentation checks, with the Jefferson County logo, for photo-ops
Nissi CorporationPre- 1993

CAD Drafter
I assembled quote packages and drew shop drawings for institutional kitchens, maintained hard copy and CAD drawing libraries.
(and more)And More

I draw things, by pencil, pen, mouse and stylus. I've drawn houses, a medical facility, factories, warehouses, institutional kitchens, sprinkler systems, forms, maps, signs, and graphics for companies and websites, die prints, fabrication drawings, software button icons, award medallions, robots and starships, as well as the occasional people, places and things.
(trivia)This is the second time I have worked for Cardinal.   I worked there as a temp Drafter in the 1980's.   I was supposed to be there a month, and ended up there for almost a year.

Several years later, I sent in a resume in response to a 'blind ad', they remembered me, and hired me.
