Cassie was a Great Pyrenees.

Pyrs are a breed that were meant to protect sheep and other livestock from coyotes, wolves and bears.

She was a bit small for her breed.   She only reached about 92 pounds.   She was a happy girl, who liked snuggling on the couch and power-goosing unsuspecting people.

She died young, when her immune system started attacking her.
She was a sweet girl and my very favorite dog.

Zoey is a Labrador Retriever.

She's all Lab, except for the loving water part.

She's sweet, dainty, a worrier, a people person -er dog, and the licking-est dog I've ever seen.

I think someone mistreated her early on, because she's a bit skittish, and sudden noises or unexpected movements scare her, and make her run for her life.
